Several people are recovering after a chlorine release at a chemical plant in Geismar.
It happened early yesterday morning at the Westlake facility, and it traveled to neighboring Air Liquide on Highway 30 near Highway 73. Five people were evaluated, and two of them had to be taken to the hospital for further treatment.
Officials at Westlake are investigating.
