TRUMP ON TRIAL: ‘This is an Assault on America’

Former president and 2024 frontrunner Donald Trump spoke in NYC Monday at the beginning of his alleged ‘Hush Money’ trial.

 

“Nothing like this has ever happened before. Every legal scholar says this case is nonsense and should never have been brought,” said Trump.

“This is political persecution. This is a persecution like never before. Nobody’s ever seen anything like it. It’s an assault on America. That’s why I’m very proud to be here. This is an assault on our country,” he added.
