Forecasters are keeping a close eye on the southwestern Gulf - where a low-pressure system now has a 80% chance of tropical development.
The National Hurricane Center in Miami says a depression could form over the next few days as it tracks east to north. The next named system on the list is Isaias.
The National Weather Service says it is still too soon to say what impacts the system could have locally.
