Funeral arrangements are pending for Louisiana State Senator Larry Selders.
The Baton Rouge Democrat passed away Tuesday evening after suffering a possible heart attack while attending an event. He was 44.
Selders was hospitalized in May with a heart condition.
The former state representative was elected to the State Senate last year. Selders filled the seat left vacant when Cleo Fields ran for U.S. Congress.
Gov. Jeff Landry sent his condolences in a social media post.
