Ascension Public Schools
All summer school classes will be canceled on Thursday due to possible impacts from Tropical Storm Arthur. The school system stated that all school and district offices will be closed, with no activities allowed.
“The safety of our students, employees, and families remains our top priority. We encourage everyone to monitor local weather forecasts and use caution when traveling, especially in areas prone to flooding,” school officials said.
Pointe Coupee Parish School Board
The school board and all public schools will be closed on Thursday due to severe weather. Classes, activities, and events will be canceled.
West Baton Rouge Parish Schools
All district offices and school sites in West Baton Rouge Parish will be closed on Thursday due to the forecasted tropical weather.
Zachary Community School District
The Zachary Community School District announced the closure of its district offices and school sites for Thursday due to the weather threat.
