Dutchtown High School in Geismar is undergoing a $13 million renovation project.

Although it's one of the area's biggest high schools, the campus has only one entrance and exit. A new access road will connect the rear of the campus to Highway 74.

Students in carpentry and welding will have a climate-controlled lab in a repurposed football locker room, bringing them in from outdoors.

New agriculture facilities will make room for five new courses.

A new field house is scheduled to be completed by about a year from now.
