A Louisiana Senate committee continues working today to redraw the state's congressional district map.

The U.S. Supreme Court recently ruled that one of Louisiana's two majority-black districts was unconstitutional because it was race-based.

The Senate and Governmental Affairs Committee considered four bills on Friday, one of which would keep two majority-black districts, while the other three would eliminate one or both of them.

Gov. Jeff Landry suspended this month's congressional elections after the Supreme Court's ruling.

Loud protests took place outside the Senate chamber on Friday.
