A Baton Rouge woman is in custody and accused of stealing merchandise from stores at Juban Crossing.

Livingston Parish deputies identified the woman as a suspect and approached her in the parking lot. She ran away, but was soon taken into custody.

The sheriff's office says Katherine Morrison was caught with more than $500 worth of merchandise from two of the shopping center's stores.

Detectives say Morrison also had several active theft warrants in other nearby jurisdictions.
