U.S. Representative Cleo Fields is joining a federal lawsuit challenging Louisiana's suspension of its congressional primary elections this month.

The lawsuit was filed by a voter and by congressional candidate Lindsay Garcia. It claims the suspension of the May 16th and June 27th elections violates the constitution and federal election law, especially since early voting is now underway.

In addition to Fields, other congressional candidates who have joined the lawsuit include Jessee Fleenor, Dan McKay, Larry Foy, and Matt Gromlich.
