Turner Industries Bringing Nuclear Fabrication Jobs To WBR, New Iberia

Turner Industries plans to bring 1,000 jobs to Louisiana by expanding its nuclear modular fabrication work at two existing locations.

The company will hire 500 employees in West Baton Rouge Parish and another 500 in New Iberia, relocating operations from Texas.

The new positions will reportedly pay about 125 percent of the national average.

Louisiana already gets 21 percent of its power from nuclear plants in the state.
