The Saints are not picking up the fifth-year option on their newest trade acquisition.
NFL Network reports that New Orleans is declining the fifth-year contract option on defensive end Tyree Wilson's rookie deal.
The Saints acquired Wilson and a seventh-round pick from the Raiders in exchange for a fifth-rounder in this past weekend's draft.
The 25-year-old was the seventh overall pick of the 2023 draft out of Texas Tech. He has 91 tackles, 12 sacks and four forced fumbles in 50 career games.
