Gov. Jeff Landry's big plans for Louisiana's educational savings account program are hitting a speed bump in the state Senate.
Landry wants to double funding for the LA GATOR Scholarship Program and make it available to students at all income levels.
The program uses tax dollars to send disadvantaged students to private schools.
The House approved the governor's funding request last week. But Senate President Cameron Henry says he'd like to see this year's test scores before he supports the expansion.
