The Tigers may be without one of their top players for the remainder of the season.

LSU coach Jay Johnson confirmed yesterday that junior right fielder Jake Brown may miss the rest of the year due to a broken hamate bone in his hand.

Johnson said that Brown will likely have surgery as soon as he can and that the staff will not rush him back.

Brown leads the team with 16 home runs to go along with 43 runs scored and 49 RBIs.
