A Baker woman is facing felony child cruelty and desertion charges after her kids were found in a "rat-feces infested" home.
Police responded to complaints of several children who were left alone in the home on Wilson Street on March 29.
After an investigation, a warrant was issued for 31-year-old Brianna Carpenter, who told officers that she wouldn't go back to the home for fear of being arrested.
According to the arrest report, Carpenter initially told police that her neighbor was watching the kids, but when the neighbor disputed that claim, the warrant was issued for Carpenter.
