New Orleans leaders are encouraging visitors to French Quarter Fest to find some other way to get there besides driving.
City officials held a press conference on Monday to lay out the public safety plan for French Quarter Festival and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, both coming up this month.
The plan involves hundreds of police officers, parking enforcement, road closures, and medical teams citywide.
French Quarter Fest takes place Thursday through Sunday. Jazz Fest follows over the next two weekends.
