Five amendments to the Louisiana Constitution will be on the May 16 ballot.
The first proposed amendment would allow the Legislature to decide which state jobs are protected.
The second would allow St. George's community school to separate from the East Baton Rouge Parish School District.
The third amendment would give teachers and support staff a pay raise.
The fourth involves local taxes on business inventories.
The fifth would raise the retirement age for judges from 70 to 75.
Early voting is from May 2-9.
