The Louisiana Senate is considering a bill that would allow the use of psychedelic medicines for certain ailments.
Senate Bill 43 would legalize psychedelic meds to treat drug abuse disorders and neurological mental health conditions.
Veterans testified on Wednesday before the Senate Health and Welfare Committee about how the psychoactive drug ibogaine has helped them with their PTSD.
The bill would allow hospitals and universities to build clinics for Louisiana patients who would no longer have to leave the state or the country.
