A former St. James Parish deputy accused of internet crimes against children is now facing more charges.

Tykeim A. Simoneaux was arrested by Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children launched an investigation last month.

Simoneaux was originally charged in February with indecent behavior with a juvenile, computer-aided solicitation of a minor, obstruction of justice and malfeasance in office.

This week, more charges were added - 32 counts of production of child sex abuse material and one count of attempted human trafficking.
