East Baton Rouge Parish school leaders are considering expanding changes to school start times after early data from a pilot program showed promising results.
The program aimed to improve student health, safety and academic performance, with some schools starting and ending the day about 20 minutes earlier than before.
Superintendent LaMont Cole told board members the district is already seeing positive outcomes, saying the "data shows we're seeing fewer suspensions, better grades and better attendance."
The district will hold a public meeting on March 17th at Belaire High School to gather feedback from the community.
