Saks Fifth Avenue Closing Longtime Canal Street Location In April

Saks Fifth Avenue plans to close its downtown store at the Shops at Canal Place at the end of April.

The company announced the upcoming closure on Tuesday in an email to its customers. The Canal Street location has been in business for decades.

The New Orleans store is one of eight Saks Fifth Avenue locations that are closing nationwide, after Saks Global declared bankruptcy last month.
