A World War II veteran will remember his 99th birthday for as long as he lives.

The Navy Club of Baton Rouge celebrated the milestone birthday of Sebastian DiPalma at their monthly meeting.

DiPalma, who's been a member of the club for decades, turns 99 this coming Sunday.

He served in the Navy from January 1945 to July 1946 as a musician, playing the sax and the clarinet.

After living in several other states, DiPalma moved to Baton Rouge in 1964 to be closer to family. Several relatives showed up for his celebration.
