Landry Proposes $46 Billion State Budget

Gov. Jeff Landry's office is presenting state lawmakers a proposed Louisiana budget of about $46 billion

Louisiana's school choice voucher program, LA GATOR, would receive about twice its previous outlay of $43 million under the proposed spending plan

The Department of Corrections would receive an extra $17.5 million for the Louisiana State Penitentiary.

The state legislate will return to the Capitol in a couple of months to debate the proposed budget's provisions.
