Tulane is now on the search for a new head football coach.
ESPN reports that Jon Sumrall is finalizing a six-year deal to take the job at Florida. The deal is reportedly worth an average of nearly $7.5 million per year and includes significant incentives tied to the College Football Playoff.
The 43-year-old has gone 19-7 in two seasons leading the Green Wave. He will remain with the program through the American Conference championship game and through the College Football Playoff, if Tulane gets a berth.
