Louisiana's Senator Bill Cassidy says that vaccines are safe.

The Republican lawmaker made the rounds on Sunday talk shows, saying they do not cause autism.

The CDC just updated its website, suggesting a possible link, upsetting many people in the scientific community.

It now states that "the claim 'vaccines do not cause autism' is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism."

The page also says that the HHS has "launched a comprehensive assessment of the causes of autism."

The Autism Science Foundation, based in New York, said in a statement that the change is "anti-vaccine rhetoric and outright lies about vaccines and autism."
