LSU Men's Hoops Beats Tarleton State

The LSU men's hoops team started out their season with a dominant victory as the Tigers toppled Tarleton State 96-60 in Baton Rouge.

Max Mackinnon scored a team-high 19 points while Dedan Thomas Jr. finished with 16 points and eight assists.

The 1-0 Tigers will host New Orleans on Monday night.

In other action, Southern lost to Marquette 100-82 in Milwaukee. Michael Jacobs had a team-high 21 points as the Jaguars fell to 0-2.

Louisiana plays host to Southeastern Louisiana tomorrow night. The Ragin' Cajuns and Lions both enter at 0-1.

On Saturday, Tulane will host Texas State, while New Orleans entertains Southern-New Orleans. The Green Wave and Privateers are both 1-0.
