The Tigers were knocked off in SEC action as LSU lost to Vanderbilt 31-24 on Saturday in Nashville.
Garrett Nussmeier completed 19-of-28 passes for 225 yards and two touchdowns. Zavion Thomas and Trey'Dez Green combined for nine receptions for 149 yards and two TDs.
The Tigers are now 5-2 overall and 2-2 in SEC play. They host third-ranked Texas A&M on Saturday night.
In other Week 8 action, Tulane downed Army 24-17 in New Orleans. The Green Wave improved to 6-1.
Elsewhere, Louisiana lost to Southern Miss 22-10 in Sun Belt action. The Ragin' Cajuns are now 2-5.
Southern lost to Prairie View A&M 24-3 at home. The Jaguars are 1-6.
Southeastern Louisiana crushed Northwestern State 49-0 in Hammond. The Lions are 5-2.
