The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is citing three men from the Baton Rouge area for catching more than the legal limit of shrimp.
Jose Canales and Victor Funes-Carcamo of Baton Rouge, and Roy Rowley of Denham Springs, are all cited for violating rules on a wildlife management area at the Pointe-aux-Chenes WMA.
Agents say the men had caught 188 pounds of brown shrimp, while the legal limit is 25 pounds.
The shrimp and several dozen finfish were seized and donated to a local charity.
