Metro Council OKs Parking Rate Increase At Baton Rouge Airport

Parking fees at the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport are going up at the beginning of next year.

The increases to both short-term and economy parking rates were first proposed last month, and the Metro Council approved them on Wednesday.

On January 1, 2026, short-term parking will be increased from $12 to $16 per day, economy parking will go from $9 to $13 per day.

The council also renewed a five-year deal with Lyft, charging an administrative fee for every ride originating from the airport.
