LSU Loses To Ole Miss In SEC Action, Tulane Defeats Tulsa

The Tigers were handed their first loss of the season.

LSU fell to Ole Miss 24-19 in SEC action on the road.

Garrett Nussmeier completed 21-of-34 passes for 197 yards, one touchdown and an interception. Nic Anderson had a receiving TD and Harlem Berry rushed for 22 yards and a score.

The 13th-ranked Tigers enter their bye week at 4-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

The Green Wave opened up their conference scheduled with a win.

Tulane defeated Tulsa 31-14 in American Conference play.

Jake Retzlaff completed 17-of-30 passes for 242 yards. He also rushed for 29 yards and a touchdown. Javin Gordon finished with 78 rushing yards and three TDs.

The Green Wave enter their bye week at 4-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

In other scores, Louisiana took down Sun Belt rival Marshall 54-51 in double-overtime in Lafayette. The Ragin' Cajuns are now 2-3.

Southern lost to Jackson State 38-13 at home. The Jaguars enter their bye week at 1-4.

Southeastern Louisiana defeated UT Rio Grande Valley 45-31 at home. The Lions are 3-2.
