The West Baton Rouge Parish Detention Center has a new warden.
Trevor McDonald was named to the position to replace the previous warden, who retired.
The West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office says McDonald's more than 25 years of experience includes working for the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and the Department of Corrections.
McDonald is stepping in at a time of concern over four inmate deaths at the jail since March, as well as an ongoing problem with contraband.
