A suspect is in custody and accused of vandalizing two churches in East Baton Rouge Parish and one in Livingston Parish.

Deputies arrested Jimmie Mouton on Monday, based on evidence from surveillance video.

Moton reportedly spray-painted messages on the outer walls of Lockhart Baptist Church, Greenwell Springs Baptist Church, and Indian Mound Baptist Church.

He faces charges of institutional vandalism, which refers to damage to churches, synagogues, mosques, and other places of worship.
