The death of an inmate at the West Baton Rouge Parish Jail is under investigation.
Deputies responded around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday to three inmates who were suffering medical emergencies in a dormitory.
Two of the men recovered, but Jeremy Paul was later pronounced dead. Investigators suspect his death may have resulted from a drug overdose, but his cause of death hasn't yet been confirmed.
Paul had been in the parish jail since last September, and was being housed for the state Department of Corrections.
