Denham Springs To Add Anti-Crime Surveillance Cameras

Denham Springs is soon to install a couple of security cameras that are expected to help police fight crime and respond faster.

The city council okayed an agreement with Entergy to mount two high-tech cameras at the intersection of Florida Boulevard and South Range Avenue.

The high-tech cameras known as Site Spotters can search for vehicles or people that have passed by, based on descriptions entered by police.

Denham Springs already has five of the cameras in place, which have reportedly helped solve several crimes.
