One of BREC's newest swimming pools is closed for now, after some armed juveniles trespassed there early Sunday.
BREC interim superintendent Janet Simmons says four kids climbed the fence at Howell Community Park pool and swam unsupervised before any BREC employees were there.
The four kids ran away when an employee showed up. There was no confrontation, but at least two of them were carrying guns.
Simmons says BREC hopes to reopen the pool by Thursday if they can come up with a safety plan.
