Several hundred patrons of the Liberty Lagoon water park will use rain checks after severe weather forced the park to close early on Sunday.
The park was scheduled to be open from noon to 5 p.m. on its first day to reopen, but the weather closed it down after about an hour and a half.
Nearly 300 people bought tickets for Sunday, and they received "rain check" tickets to use later in the summer.
The park's grand opening is this coming Friday, with slides, surfing, lazy rivers, and pools up and running.
