EBR Parish Prison Employee Arrested After Less Than Two Weeks On The Job

A former East Baton Rouge Parish Prison employee is out of a job and behind bars less than two weeks after she was hired.

Alezsha Evans was arrested Tuesday and charged with domestic abuse battery and criminal property damage.

Evans was hired on Wednesday, May 28. After being accused of domestic abuse, she was placed on administrative leave on Sunday.

She has since been fired.
