An Opelousas man accused of stabbing his six-year-old stepson will remain in jail until his bond hearing on July 3.

Patrick Greene appeared in court on Thursday, when he was charged with eight counts of attempted first-degree murder.

The eight intended victims were Greene's wife and the seven children who were in the house at the time.

Greene was already charged with domestic abuse battery, aggravated assault, and resisting an officer after the violent incident last weekend in St. Landry Parish.
