A former Ascension Parish public school employee is accused of stealing from her employer.
The Sheriff's Office started investigating Kayla Jones in April.
Jones is suspected of misappropriating more than $12,000 between 2023 and 2025 while working as a secretary at Central Middle School.
After a warrant was issued for Jones, she turned herself in and was booked into the jail for felony theft.
