Anybody interested in a seat on the Ascension Parish School Board, now's the time to apply
Board member Scott Duplechein resigned from the board on Wednesday.
Duplechein ran unopposed when he was first elected to the board in 2014. He represented District 2, which includes St. Amant, Sorrento, and part of Gonzales.
Applications will be accepted through June 13 for anyone who wants to be an interim school board member.
A special election on October 11 will fill Duplechein's vacant seat.
