A black bear that was roaming around parts of Baton Rouge last week is on its way back to the wild.
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries used a tranquilizer to capture the bear on Friday night near Broadmoor United Methodist Church.
The bear climbed a tree near the church on Friday morning and stayed there for hours It's believed to be the same animal that first turned up in the city of Central earlier in the week.
The bear will be given a medical checkup before being released into the woods in central Louisiana.
