EBR Mayor-President Initiates "Pray For The Parish" Series

East Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sid Edwards is encouraging residents to participate in his new "Pray for the Parish" initiative.

There was a kickoff event for the initiative on Thursday at the Raising Cane's River Center ballroom.

"Pray for the Parish" will now be a monthly gathering for the rest of the year.

The mayor's office says the initiative is based on the Christian faith, but anybody who believes in prayer is welcome to join in.
