The Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff's Office is reporting the recovery of a missing truck driver's body from the Mississippi River.
The truck crashed into the river nearly two weeks ago after running off Highway 1 in Morganza. Searchers found the submerged truck, but not the driver.
Deputies responded on Thursday evening after a witness spotted a body in the river. Searchers recovered the body, which is now in custody of the coroner.
The man's family has been notified. His name hasn't been released.
