CATS Drivers Back On The Job As Strike Ends

Bus drivers with the Capital Area Transit System are back behind the wheel after their strike ended on Sunday.

Union workers walked off the job a week ago, expressing frustration with wages and working conditions.

The strike ended after CATS officials and members of the Amalgamated Transit Union agreed to enter arbitration to resolve ongoing contract problems.

CATS tried to keep the regular bus schedule running in the past week despite the absence of several dozen drivers.
