A candlelight vigil is planned this evening for a Southern University student who died after an off-campus fraternity ritual.

University officials say the vigil to honor the life and memory of Caleb Wilson will be held at 5 p.m. on the Isaac Greggs Band Hall lawn. Candles will be provided.

Wilson was pronounced dead last Thursday after his frat brothers dropped him off at a Baton Rouge hospital. The case is being investigated as a hazing death.

Wilson was a junior from Kenner majoring in mechanical engineering.
