Theatre Baton Rouge is calling off its 79th season early and canceling its 80th season.
Theatre officials say the group is broke, and that they never recovered from the lost revenue from the pandemic, combined with higher production costs afterward.
The 79th season's final performance of "Xanadu" is scheduled for Sunday, March 23. Tickets are available online.
Theatre officials say they plan to contact season ticket holders about what happens next.
