CATS Workers To Strike Today Over Wages, Working Conditions

Employees of the Capital Area Transit System are reportedly on strike as of today.

The union is demanding higher wages and safer working conditions.

Negotiations started in October but reportedly little or no progress has been made. The union blames CEO Theo Richards for the impasse.

CATS leadership says that even with workers on the picket lines, they plan to operate the usual bus services.
