Security will be ramped up in New Orleans this weekend as revelers also step up their Mardi Gras celebrations.
City officials say the heavy police presence is receiving significant federal support after an ISIS-inspired truck attack in the French Quarter killed 14 people on New Year's Day.
Between now and Mardi Gras this coming Tuesday, there will be some 40 parades on the streets of the Big Easy.
Several items have been banned, including private drones.
