A new board will be in charge of Impact Charter School in Baton Rouge.

The Louisiana State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education voted to create the board during a special meeting last Friday.

The decision follows a recent audit by the Louisiana Legislative Auditor's Office that reportedly found the company's CEO, Chakesha Scott, misused more than $1 million in school funds.

Scott claims the audit is "flawed" and "politically motivated."

The state agency released a statement on Friday naming the seven members of the new board.
