LSU's top lawyer is resigning from his position at the LSU Law School.
Winston Decuir sent a letter of resignation to the chairman of the Board of Supervisors on Wednesday.
He will step down from his job as general counsel and vice president for the Office of Legal Affairs, effective March 1.
Decuir has held the position for five years.
The LSU Law School faculty has approved a one-year visiting professorship for Decuir.
The exact reason for his departure hasn't been disclosed.
