The Slidell community is stepping up to help a family who lost everything in a fire a few days before Christmas.
Miguel Serrano is the Spanish ministry pastor at Slidell First Pentecostal Church. He and his wife and family were about to move out of the church's parsonage to their new home when the parsonage burned down.
The Serranos lost everything, including their car, their Christmas presents, and equipment for their painting business.
Church members have raised $7,000 for the family, GoFundMe has raised another $3,000, and local businesses have replaced their business equipment.
